Hi from the UK .l have many shaving mugs and skuttles.These are usually fine China and very good looking .BUT l allways wondered why Old Spice mugs were quite expensive, more so than fine decorated China ones . Having bought one from a charity shop l gratted an Arko stick and pressed it down into a puck. I found the late Old Spice mug a joy to hold ,just the right size..not like my big skuttles . Very pleased with it. Just now trying to get boss of one of my 30 odd Rolls Razors .oh well 😢

Great video! I often wondered myself what the term “proof“ was all about. So here’s what I just found out: The term “proof“ goes back all the way to the 1700s. As the story goes, soldiers in the British Royal Navy would apply rum to their gunpowder to test the strength of the rum. If the weapon still fired with the gunpowder being wetted by the rum, they had “proof” (100% proof) that the rum was strong enough. It so happened that the 100 proof was about 50% ABV. As such, it was later standardized to label 50% ABV at 100 proof and so on. Thus, it seems we have the British Royal Navy to thank for this traditional nomenclature.

Thanks for this review! I literally was holding both products one on each hand deciding which one to go for. I ended up choosing the mach 3 as i felt that the battery was probably a gimmick and I couldn't see how it would have helped with a better shave. That decision was vindicated after watching your review. 👍

I’ve used a Biden Quartz WR 50m which I paid £15 for three years ago. It’s always kept good time and now the battery has gone it’s more economical to buy a new one rather than replace the battery. Throw away society unfortunately!! It tells me the time and the date and that’s all I need. Regards

This is a very good video. Thanx for sharing your King Seiko with us. I pretty much knew nothing about King Seiko watches and you did a good job teaching me the basics. I am a new to vintage watches. I am a fan of hand wind no date watches in smaller sizes like 35 or 36mm because I have small wrists. I even like 34mm. I love Japanese watches from the 60s and 70s so this watch is good information for me. I subscribed and I will like to see more of your videos. Appreciate it.

Just a FYI. Double sided metal file with the pointy tip. Round those nails off after cutting. Then light cross over the top edge of your nails all the way across to debur the edge. Your nail tips will be so soft and smooth, you won't even notice any nail, but still have nails. Takes about 20 mins for the whole process. I also trim very short. Good hand washing after with hot water or shower and you will have the nicest, best feeling nails a girl has ever seen or felt. Top level nail trimming.

Before you look at plating the watch have the bezel checked. On my Gruen 560 (the automatic version of this watch) the bezel is solid gold and the rest is plated.

The notion of the gold dress watch being a Gruen 510 is unfortunately untrue and can be traced to a (now deleted) bloggpost from about 2014, which just made the claim without any solid references. Recently there has been photos surfaced of Sean Connery from behinds the Scenes and in his off time wearing the watch, which seems to indicate that it was in fact his personal watch that he wore along with the Submariner. The identity of the watch is still unknown - and though it's very similar to the Gruen, with the same dial layout and style of hands, the case and lugs do not match what so ever. This means the identity of the watch is till up for debate, but the Gruen 510 is debunked.

You can't expect to be taken seriously if you cannot pronounce Eau properly. Polo Sport is my all time fav, but it's reformulated and is not the same. The original didn't last long,vand the new stuff fades to nothing in an hour...

I use Wilkinson sword Hydro 5(Same as Schick) And it is far better than any Gillette blade/Razor...The only thing Gillettes products does is pull and tug....
